Privacy Policy
Last updated 22 September 2026 · Version 2026-09-22
We collect only what we need to teach you, take payment and keep the Hub safe. We never sell your data or use it for advertising. The tutor and evaluations use an artificial intelligence provider, and a few things you choose to share, like reviews and certificates, can be seen by others.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The Link Education Hub (the "Hub") is operated by The Link ("we", "us"). We decide how and why your personal data is used on the Hub and we are responsible for it. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with and the choices you have. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions.
2. What we collect
Account details you give us: the student's name and age, the buyer's name and phone number, your email address, a password (stored only as a one-way hash, never in readable form), any referral number you enter, and when you accepted our Terms.
Purchases: what you bought, the amount, the payment status, and the payment slip you upload. A slip is a picture of your bank transfer and can show your name, bank, account details and transaction reference. We also keep our verification notes and your receipts.
Your learning: the books you own, your conversations with the tutor, the projects you submit (images, files and notes), their evaluations and scores, your certificates, reviews you post, token activity, and any Meet the Author session you book (date, time and the topic you tell us).
Technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you request, which our hosting provider records in server logs for security and to keep the Hub running. We also use a sign-in cookie and small browser storage items described in our Cookie Policy.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, national identity numbers, card numbers, passwords for other services, or health information.
3. How we use it
- To create and run your account and give you the books, portal, tutor, evaluations and certificates you are entitled to.
- To verify payments, prevent fraud, issue receipts and keep financial records.
- To answer your questions, help with sign-in (including password resets) and handle refunds or complaints.
- To tell the owner when a sale, payment slip, session booking or password reset request comes in.
- To keep the Hub secure, investigate misuse and enforce our Terms.
- To understand how the Hub is used and improve the books and the Service.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
4. Why we are allowed to use it
We use your data because we need it to provide the Service you signed up for and bought; because we have a legitimate interest in running a secure, fraud-free and improving business; because the law requires it (for example financial records); or because you (or, for a student under 18, their parent or guardian) gave consent, which you can withdraw at any time for the future.
5. Artificial intelligence
The tutor and the Smart evaluations are powered by third-party artificial intelligence services (currently Google's Gemini models). When you ask the tutor something or submit a project for evaluation, the relevant text, images and notes are sent to that provider so it can produce an answer. Payment slips may also be read automatically to help us check them before a person approves them. These providers process the data under their own terms for business customers.
Automated evaluations decide scores used for chapter progression and certificates. They do not affect your legal rights, and you can always resubmit your work or contact us through the details published at www.thelinkadvertizing.com if you think something is wrong. Do not put sensitive personal information in chats or submissions.
7. What is public
- Reviews you post show your name, rating and text on the book's page.
- Each certificate has a verification page. Anyone who has the certificate number can see the name on the certificate, the book, the final average and the date, so that employers and clients can check it is genuine. Share the number only with people you want to verify it.
8. Where your data is stored
Our hosting, email, messaging and artificial intelligence providers may store or process data in other countries, including the United States and the European Union. When data leaves the country where you live, we rely on these providers' security commitments and contract terms to protect it.
9. How long we keep it
- Account, learning and submission data: while your account is open. You can clear your tutor conversation yourself at any time.
- When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except what we must keep.
- Payment records, slips and receipts: as long as needed for accounting, tax and fraud prevention, and as the law requires.
- Certificate verification records: kept so a certificate stays verifiable, unless you ask us to withdraw the certificate.
- Server logs and backups: for a limited period, after which they are overwritten.
10. Children
Many students on the Hub are under 18. A student under 18 may only use the Hub with the permission of a parent or guardian, who creates or approves the account and whose name and phone number we record as the buyer. We collect only what we need to run the Service for the student. A parent or guardian can review, correct or delete the student's data by contact us through the details published at www.thelinkadvertizing.com. If we learn that we hold a child's data without that permission, we will delete it.
11. Security
We protect your data with measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), one-way hashed passwords, signed and protected sign-in cookies, one-time password reset links, and access limited to the people who need it. You can sign out every other device from your Account settings. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you think your account has been misused, change your password and contact us through the details published at www.thelinkadvertizing.com straight away.
12. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct it (you can edit your profile yourself in Account settings);
- delete it, or close your account;
- stop or limit a particular use, or withdraw a consent you gave.
To make a request, contact us through the details published at www.thelinkadvertizing.com from the email on your account. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will reply within 30 days. Some requests are limited by law, for example we cannot delete payment records we are required to keep. You can also complain to your local data protection authority, although we would like the chance to put things right first.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Hub changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant we will tell you on the Hub or by email.
14. Contact
