Terms and Conditions

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

The Link Education Hub (the "Hub") is operated by The Link ("we", "us", "our"). The books sold on the Hub are written by Syed Ahmed Ul Hassan (the "Author"). These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and us. They apply to the Hub website, the book portals, the tutor, project evaluations, certificates, author sessions, downloads and every other feature we offer (together, the "Service").

By creating an account, redeeming a book code, buying anything or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

2. Who can use the Hub, and students under 18

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and accept these Terms yourself. Students under 18 may use the Hub only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who must create or approve the account and who accepts these Terms on the student's behalf. The parent or guardian is responsible for the student's use of the Service and for every purchase made on the account.

You must give accurate information when you register (including the student's name, age, and the buyer's name and phone number) and keep it up to date in your Account settings.

3. Your account

• An account is personal to one student. Do not share it, sell it or let anyone else use it.
• Keep your password secret. You are responsible for everything that happens on your account until you tell us it has been compromised. You can change your password and sign out every other device in your Account settings at any time.
• We may refuse, suspend or close an account at our discretion, including where information is false, where these Terms are broken, or to protect the Service, other users, the Author or us.

4. What you buy

A book purchase on the Hub gives the student's account:

• a digital copy of the book (PDF) and its project files or workflow templates, for download;
• access to that book's portal: the tutor, project submissions and evaluations, chapter progression and the certificate programme;
• a one-time welcome pack of 1,000 tokens.

Printed copies of a book include a one-time code that unlocks the same access. A code can be redeemed once, on one account, and has no cash value.

Tokens power the Smart tutor and Smart evaluations. Tokens are a feature of the Service, not money or stored value: they have no cash value, cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged, and are not refundable. How many tokens an action uses may change. A Regular tutor and Regular evaluations remain available at no token cost.

Meet the Author sessions are live, one-to-one video calls of about 30 minutes, booked in the time slots we offer (currently priced at $10). The Author may approve, decline or ask to rearrange a requested slot.

We may change, improve, pause or withdraw features, books, prices and offers at any time. Price changes never affect an order you have already paid for.

5. Prices and payment

• Prices are shown in US dollars and payable in Pakistani rupees at the amount shown at checkout. Any discount or "original price" shown is part of our pricing and may end at any time.
• Payment is by bank transfer to our bank account, using the details or QR code shown at checkout. You pay any charges your bank applies.
• After paying you must upload a clear, genuine payment slip. Your order is only accepted when we have verified that the full amount has reached our account. We may ask for more information, and we may reject a payment we cannot verify.
• Uploading a fake, altered or reused slip, or any other attempt to obtain the Service without paying, is fraud. We will close the account, keep any amount received as compensation for our costs, and may report the matter to the authorities.
• A receipt is available on your Account page for every verified payment.

6. Cancellations and refunds

Everything sold on the Hub is digital content or a service delivered straight away. When your payment is approved, the book and its files are made available to download immediately and the portal unlocks. By buying, you ask us to start delivery at once and you accept that, once delivery has started, the purchase cannot be cancelled and is not refundable, except as set out below.

We will refund or put right the following, if you tell us within 7 days of the payment:

• you paid twice for the same thing by mistake (we refund the duplicate);
• we approved your payment but could not give you access, and did not fix it within 7 days of you telling us;
• the Author cancels a session and you do not want to rearrange it.

We do not give refunds because you changed your mind, did not use the Service, did not finish the book, did not get the results you hoped for, or disagree with an evaluation score. Tokens are never refunded. A session missed without at least 24 hours' notice is not refunded or rearranged. Refunds are paid to the account that paid us, in Pakistani rupees, less any bank charges. Nothing in this section removes a right that the law gives you and that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Your licence to the books and materials

The books, project files, workflow templates, sample chapters, illustrations, characters (including Merriem, Daniel, Gul and Karim), videos, evaluations and all other content on the Hub belong to the Author, to us or to our licensors, and are protected by copyright and other laws. You are not buying ownership of any of it.

When you buy a book we give the student a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to read the book and use its materials for their own learning. You may:

• keep personal copies of your downloads on your own devices;
• use what you learn, and the files you create yourself while learning, in your own work, portfolio and paid projects;
• use the book's workflow templates as a starting point inside systems you build for yourself or for your own clients, as the book teaches.

You may not:

• share, upload, post, sell, rent, lend or send the book, its PDF, project files, templates or sample pages to anyone;
• resell or give away the templates or project files as a product or pack in their own right;
• copy the book's text or illustrations into courses, videos, social posts or other publications, beyond short quotations with credit;
• remove or hide any copyright notice, watermark or identifying mark;
• use the content to train, fine-tune or build an artificial intelligence model or dataset.

Downloads may carry marks that identify the buyer. If you break this licence we may end your access without refund and take legal action, and you will be responsible for the losses you cause.

8. The tutor, evaluations and certificates

The tutor and the evaluations are produced automatically, partly by artificial intelligence services provided by third parties. They are learning aids. They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and they are not professional, technical, legal, financial, medical or career advice. Check important information yourself before relying on it, and never share passwords, bank details or other sensitive personal information in a chat or submission.

Evaluation scores are an automated opinion measured against the book's projects. They are final for the purposes of chapter progression and the certificate, although you may resubmit your work.

A certificate is a certificate of completion issued by The Link for finishing the book's programme on the Hub. It is not a degree, diploma or accredited qualification, and it does not promise a job, a client or any level of skill. We may revoke a certificate obtained by cheating, by submitting someone else's work, or in breach of these Terms.

9. No guarantee of results or earnings

The books, sessions and the Hub teach skills. Any examples of careers, clients, prices, income or business results (including examples of what agents, services or 3D work can sell for) are illustrations only. They are not a promise or a typical result. Your results depend on your own effort, skills, market, and circumstances outside our control. We do not guarantee that you will earn any money, find work or clients, or reach any particular level.

10. Your submissions, messages and reviews

You keep ownership of the work you create and upload. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process, analyse and evaluate your submissions and messages (including by sending them to our artificial intelligence and hosting providers) so that we can run and improve the Service. We will not publish your project work as a showcase without your permission.

Reviews you post appear publicly with your name. You give us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to show them on the Hub and in our marketing. We may remove any review or content at our discretion.

You promise that anything you upload is yours or that you have permission to use it, and that it is lawful, not offensive, not harmful and not an infringement of anyone's rights. Do not upload files containing malware or other people's personal information.

11. Acceptable use

You must not:

• break the law, or use the Service to harass, threaten, defame, deceive or harm anyone;
• access, or try to access, another person's account or data, or parts of the Service you are not entitled to;
• get around chapter locks, token limits, payment checks or any security or access control;
• copy, scrape, download in bulk, reverse engineer or overload the Service, or use bots or automated tools on it;
• misuse the tutor, including trying to make it produce unlawful, harmful or misleading content or reveal its instructions;
• behave abusively towards the Author, our team or other students, including in author sessions;
• record an author session without the Author's written consent.

12. Meet the Author sessions

• A session is confirmed only when your payment is verified and the Author approves the slot.
• Please join on time. A session that starts late because you joined late still ends at the booked time.
• To rearrange, tell us at least 24 hours before the session. We will offer another available slot.
• If the Author has to cancel or cannot attend, we will offer a new slot or, if you prefer, a refund of the session price.
• Advice given in a session is the Author's personal opinion and guidance for learning. It is not professional advice, and the section No guarantee of results or earnings applies to it.

13. Our education pledge

The Link gives 10% of the price of every purchase on the Hub (the amount shown on your payment slip) to the education of underprivileged children in Northern Pakistan, through workshops, training sessions and printed books that we run or support. This is a voluntary commitment we make from our own revenue. It is not a donation by you, it does not create a charity or trust, and it does not entitle you to a tax receipt or to any say in how the money is used. We decide how, when and where the funds are spent, and we may change or end the pledge for future purchases by updating these Terms. The children shown on the Hub are illustrated characters.

14. Referral numbers and sales agents

A referral number entered at sign-up links your account to the sales agent who referred you. Agents are independent and are not our employees or representatives, and they cannot change these Terms or make promises on our behalf. Agent commissions are governed by separate arrangements between us and the agent. We may change or end the referral programme at any time.

15. Services run by others

Parts of the Service rely on third parties, such as banks, hosting providers, artificial intelligence providers, messaging services and video-call platforms. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for their availability, content or actions. Links to other websites are provided for convenience only.

16. Availability and changes to the Service

We work to keep the Hub running, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". It may be interrupted, contain errors or lose data, including during maintenance or because of events outside our control (such as internet, power or provider failures, natural disasters, strikes or government action). Keep your own copies of work you care about. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service. If we permanently close the portal of a book you bought, the book downloads you already have remain yours to keep under the licence in these Terms.

17. Disclaimers and limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we (together with the Author, and our and the Author's partners, employees, agents and suppliers) give no warranty or guarantee about the Service beyond what is expressly written in these Terms, and all implied warranties (including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement) are excluded.

To the fullest extent the law allows:

• we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, income, business, opportunity, goodwill, data or time, however it arises;
• our total liability to you for all claims connected with the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the event that gave rise to the claim;
• any claim must be brought within one year of the event that gave rise to it.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

18. Your responsibility to us

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Link, the Author and our partners, employees and agents against any claim, loss, liability, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service or its content, or anything you upload.

19. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access, without notice or refund, if you break these Terms, commit or attempt fraud, misuse the content or put the Service, other users, the Author or us at risk. Sections that by their nature should continue (including the licence restrictions, liability limits, indemnity and governing law) survive termination.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant we will tell you on the Hub or by email, and we may ask you to accept the new version. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.

21. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Before starting any formal proceedings, please contact us through the details published at www.thelinkadvertizing.com so we can try to resolve the matter in good faith within 30 days. Any dispute that cannot be resolved that way falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Karachi, Pakistan. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. These Terms, with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If these Terms are translated, the English version prevails. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it.
